L'édifice a été construit entre 1886 et 1890.
À l'origine, le bâtiment ne comporte pas de tour d'horloge. Celle-ci est construite au-dessus de l'entrée principale en 1937 et 1938. L'horloge comporte deux aiguilles et des chiffres arabes noirs sur un fond blanc circulaire.

The old post was built between 1886 and 1890.
Back then, the building had no clock tower. It was added on top of the main entrance in 1937-38. The clock has two black hands and black arabic numerals on a white, round background.
