"Pileated Woodpecker. A crow sized woodpecker with distinctibe black and whte neck stripes, white wing parches and prominet red crest. The reside in deep forst and borders many standing dead trees. Their favorite food, mostly insects and caterpillars, and forage for on the lower part of dead trees., creating large distrintive holes. Named for the crest on their heads, these woodpeckers are now the largest woodpeckers in North Anerica after the probable extinction of the ivory billed woodpecker."
