The former Police residence, stables & lock-up were built in 1875 to replace an earlier wooden building,the police quarters comprise a simple residence constructed in brick with a timber verandah across the main facade, slate roof and two stout brick chimneys. The stables at the rear are constructed in timber and the brick lock-up located a short distance from the police quarters comprise a simple gabled vestibule giving onto two cells.
