This is a one-story frame building with a gable roof, constructed out of the abundant supply of cottonwood nearby. It was originally constructed as a schoolhouse on the property of Jesse Pierce in 1899. It was used as a school during the week, and as a church on weekends. In 1907, the building was moved to a nearby location where it stands today. The building belongs to the Stillwater School District and is used as a rural community center for the local area, northwest of the town. It is located northwest of Stillwater, one mile east of Lake Carl Blackwelder.
The building is 20 ft by 43 ft. and has four windows on the east and west sides, with a door on the south, and at the rear of east side. The original clapboard was covered over with newer clapboard probably in the 1950's. The building was placed on the National Register in 1980.
Today, the building is used regularly for local rural community events, fund raisers and get-togethers.
