A monument greeting motorists traveling south as they crossed the county line on the Dixie Highway.
Monuments such as this were commonly erected in the 1900's at significant locations along the Dixie Highway. This monument has "Welcome" engraved on the north side for motorists traveling south. On the east side facing the road is engraved with "Brevard County". And on the south side is engraved "Come Again" for motorists traveling north.
This monument was probably originally located approximately a mile east on the original Dixie Highway at Ditch Road and Dixie Way/County Line Road (N. 28 deg. 47.477 W. 80 deg. 52.030).
