A memorial cross above the government bunker at Silberberg in Ahrweiler commemorates the crash of an Me 110 on December 27, 1944, in which Sergeant Alfred Naumann was killed.
On the cross is a plaque:
"Hier fand am 27. Dezember 1944 Feldwebel Alfred Naumann beim Absturz seiner ME 110 den Fliegertod"
(On 27 December 1944, Sergeant Alfred Naumann was killed in the crash of his ME 110.)
