From the viewpoint Trotzenberg you have a beautiful view of Marienthal with the former monastery, the Ahr valley, the surrounding vineyards and Dernau.
The information board of the local winegrowers' association explains some wineries in Marienthal, including the former monastery.
In the immediate vicinity there is a shelter with seating, but without this beautiful view.
