The hut is a hexagonal steel construction on a cliff north of the Ahr.
The Fischley is a lookout point located directly on the red wine hiking trail at an altitude of approx. 218m above sea level. From there you have beautiful views in the direction of "Bunte Kuh" as well as on Dernau and the vineyards of Marienthal.
The view from the Fischley hut is unfortunately largely overgrown to the south and west.
There is a comfortable bench at the viewpoint north of the hut.
