The castle was constructed in the 11th cent, to defend the country. In the 15th cent, it was enlarged and newly fortified, in the 18th cent, it was rebuilt and acquired the present romantic appearance. In the 20th cent, it belonged to several owners and an unusual zoo was set up on the estate. Period interiors and collections of stuffed animals.

Hrad na soutoku dvou moravských rek byl vybudován v 11. stol. na obranu zeme. V 15. stol. byl rozšíren a nove opevnen. V 18. stol. jej získal rod Daunu a dal mu dnešní romantickou podobu. Ve 20. stol. se zde vystrídalo nekolik majitelu, za továrníka Haase v objektu umístena kuriózní zoologická zahrada. Po rekonstrukci zde prohlídka dobových interiéru a sbírky preparovaných zvírat.
