USGS 34 WSM 1949 - U.S. Benchmarks on Waymarking.com

This disk was found in Genesee County, West of Rochester NY. It is found amongst the farmland that makes up the area between the towns of Elba and Byron. The disk is located in a concrete column that has been disturbed from grade. The column is about 1.5 feet in height, and tilted at a 30 degree angle from the ground.

The monument is located in the North East corner of the intersection of Merriman Road and Shelt Road. The disk itself is in fine condition and reads:

"675 Feet"
"34 WSM"
"1949"

Mark is in poor condition, as the monument has been significantly disturbed, and is of no use to surveying.
