The Historical Marker on the front of the Wyalong Museum gives the date of 1900 for the Court House.

The Wyalong Courthouse is right on the Newell Highway (locally called Neeld Street). "The Wyalong Court House was built in 1900 and displays the Federation style, the building exemplified everything that was new to architecture at the time and is typical of country court houses designed by Walter Liberty Vernon (the Government Architect of the day)." That site also gives the titbit that the first court case was for someone accused of forging a cheque (for £4). The court was used until the late 1980's. The oval plaque is facing the highway, and reads:
