On the Ahrsteig south of Heimersheim, a huge bench for tired hikers stands at a viewpoint in the fields.
The bench is about 3m high and 6m wide and offers seating for a whole group of people.
The seat can be reached via a row of wooden pegs.
From the bench you have a magnificent view over the fields to Heimersheim, the Landskrone, the gigantic motorway bridge of the A61 and the northern mountain ranges of the "Ahrgebirge".
The bank is located directly on the Ahrsteig next to a well-maintained dirt road. It can be reached quickly from the parking lots at the Festhalle in Heimersheim with a walk of approx. 800m.
