According to the book's publisher, Acorn Press, The True Meaning of Crumbfest is the story of a curious mouse named Eckhart, who sets off to discover the truth about that most abundant time of the year, Crumbfest, when bounteous crumbs miraculously appearing the old Prince Edward Island farmhouse in which he lives.
It was first published in 1999 and now the mouse, Eckhart, has his own animated TV show.
It was written by David Weale and illustrated by Dale McNevin.
