A memorial plaque to Emily Cecilia Chaplin, a benefactor of St Andrew's church, Whissendine, who gave many gifts to the church and who bore the cost of the reredos and improvements in the chancel in 1912.
The plaque reads:
THIS TABLET IS ERECTED BY THE
PARISHIONERS OF WHISSENDINE TO
RECORD THEIR GRATITUDE TO THE LATE
EMILY CECILIA CHAPLIN
FOR HER VERY GENEROUS GIFTS TO THE
CHURCH AND FOR HER NEVER FAILING
CHARITY TO ALL IN NEED 1925
