Despite some clouds in the sky, we were able to experience a great view of the ISS as it passed overhead in Edmond, OK, the same pass that elyob watched from 1,117 miles away. We first spotted the station just below the moon, then after passing by our view of the moon, it headed for the NE horizon.
We were able to see it at about 22:09:30 and at 22:11:51 it was almost straight overhead and clear as could be. As we watched the ISS head towards the NE we watched a satellite pass by it when they were both at about 50º above the horizon. That was an unexpected surprise! The viewable ISS time from our location was close to 5 minutes.
Our max altitude of 85º at 22:11:51 in Edmond, with a max altitude of 70º at 23:16:56 for elyob.
The celestial bodies we saw in the sky tonight were the moon and Jupiter (cloudy sky).
