Le monument aux morts de la ville de Bergues est sans doute l'un des plus émouvants et des plus saisissant. Les photographies sauront vous en convaincre. Elle est constituée d'une alliance de deux matières : le bronze pour le soldat et la pierre pour le cadre. On y découvre ainsi un soldat mort, vraisemblablement fraîchement abattu (on peut apercevoir les trous des balles), qui de sa main dépose un rameau de laurier : symbole de la victoire qu'il apporte à la France, au prix de sa vie... The war memorial in the city of Bergues is undoubtedly one of the most moving and striking. The photographs will convince you of this. It is made of an alliance of two materials: bronze for the soldier and stone for the frame. We thus discover a dead soldier, probably freshly shot (we can see the holes of the bullets), who with his hand lays a branch of laurel: symbol of the victory he brings to France, at the cost of his life...
