Die evangelische Marktkirche St. Bonifacius ist die Hauptkirche der Stadt Bad Langensalza und wurde in mehreren Bauphasen von Mitte des 13. bis Ende des 16. Jahrhunderts im Stil der Gotik erbaut und erweitert. Sie gehört zur Kirchengemeinde Bad Langensalza im Kirchenkreis Mühlhausen der Evangelischen Kirche in Mitteldeutschland.
The Protestant market church of St. Bonifacius is the main church of the town of Bad Langensalza and was built and extended in several stages of construction from the middle of the 13th to the end of the 16th century in the Gothic style. It belongs to the parish Bad Langensalza in the church district Mühlhausen the Evangelical Church in Central Germany.
It has the highest church tower here in Thuringia with a height about 81 meters (other sources: 74,50 meters). It is twice due the highest church, made of so-called 'Travertin' a geologic rare massiv rock.
