EN: The Unterdorf fountain is located on a street corner on the main street of Magden.
The fountain has a long shell limestone trough with two basins, which is bevelled at the front. The column with the acorn on the top is dated 1837.
The fountain originally stood in a different location and was moved to its present location in 1857 as a replacement for an old wooden fountain. From 1922, it was supplied with drinking water and since 1983, the fountain is connected to the Magdalena spring, which leads sulphurous mineral water.
DE: Der Unterdorf-Brunnen steht an einer Strassenecke an der Hauptstrasse von Magden.
Der Brunnen hat einen langen Muschelkalktrog mit zwei Becken, der vorne abgeschrägt ist. Die Säule mit der Eichel auf der Spitze ist vorne mit 1837 datiert.
Der Brunnen stand ursprünglich an einer anderen Stelle und wurde 1857 als Ersatz für einen alten Holzbrunnen an seinen heutigen Standort versetzt. Ab 1922 wurde er mit Trinkwasser versorgt und seit 1983 ist der Brunnen an die Magdalena-Quelle angeschlossen, die schwefelhaltiges Mineralwasser führt.
