With works going on next door, for the new Taree Police Station, the Taree Court House precedings will be held in Forster, and or Port Macquarie, from October 2018 to end of June 2019. (ex- (visit link) *Retrieved: 13 November, 2018)

While the NSW Heritage website for the Taree Courthouse continues to mention 1882 as the start of procedings in the secound Court House for Taree, beneath the crest of the older building it is possible to make out in the Dated Section: "18-97" !!

"Taree Courthouse demonstrates some elements of the Victorian Classical style, though the expression of this style has been lessened by successive additions and alterations, and demonstrates the work of three government architects." (visit link)

More recently than 'that' submission to the NSW Heritage Listing is the construction of the new 'western wing', which was opened in April 2012.
