I don't know how old the design of the Coat of Arms is, but this bronze representation was placed here at the Opening of the Gallery in April 2000.
On talking with Barry Parker (Monday, 16 July, 2018), who 'redrew' the Coat of Arms, from a much earlier Coat of Arms from the Earl of Gosford (England), this was done quite a while ago, when it was still Gosford Shire, before becoming the City Council, and it is now incorporated in the Central Coast Council (in 2016)! (

On looking at the bronze reproduction, I thought that there may have been a brush turkey at the top, but research online shows a coloured representation, showing that it is a Rooster standing over a heraldry trumpet.
