Below a 'paddle-pop' shaped sign with the Rotary International emblem is an etched metal sign, with the following inscription:

This Park was built by the Rotary
  Club of Lithgow with generous
  assistance from the Joint Coal
      Board and many Friends
	    1968-69
    G.D. White L.W. Wood
     President Secretary

In the park is a wall with plaques for all of the pre-1856 families of Lithgow. It is a good place to start a walk around Lithgow following the Historical Markers. There is a toilet block here, if required. Also a bus stop if you want take some public transport around Lithgow.
