Carpenter's machine Shop was constructed in 1924 by W. J. Carpenter. Historically it was used as an auto and aircraft repair shop, and is completed with a freight elevator. This is a two-story red brick building in the Late Victorian Commercial style.
The building has a flat roof and four bays. The south bay has five wood panels, with 18 glass panes. Bay 2 has four similar panels. Bay 3 has a wood-framed clerestory and two large display windows. Bay 4 has double entry doors each with 8 glass panes, and a display window. The first floor bays are all wood and designed to look like garage doors. The brick wall between the first and second floors has the printed words "Carpenter's Machine Shop".
The second floor has ten single windows with stone sills on all four sides. The one-story building adjacent to the north has similar wood trim. We could not tell whether the building was in use at this time. This property is Item 59 on the District nomination. This Historic District was placed on the National Register in 2007.
