"The Nebelwerfer rocket launcher was a key German weapon in Normandy. Called the "Moaning Minnie" for the sound made by its rockets, the Nebelwerfer demoralized Canadian and Allied troops. "They weren't accurate at all, but could spread all kinds of metal junk over a wide area. And the horrible screaming noise they made ?could break anyone's nerve." Sergeant Major Charles Martin, Queen's Own Rifles of Canada."
