This stamp was always one of my favorites: a simple, clean, crisp design and undeniably New Mexico. Ship Rock was so named because of its resemblance to sailing vessels of time gone by, especially as seen from the east. It rises nearly 1600 ft. above the surrounding plain and can be seen for miles in all directions.
