This fiberglass horse sculpture stands in Heritage Plaza at the northeast corner of Main and 1st Streets. It is a sculpture of a rearing horse with its hind legs blue, and the forward half a red-orange and gold color.

A metal plaque on the base reads: "BLAZE / Jack Ousey / Red River Arts Council". The council is a volunteer organization which has been promoting art projects in Durant for the past 20 years. Jack Ousey is an Associate Professor of Ceramics and Graphic Design at Southeastern Oklahoma State University.
