"State regulators have suspended the alcohol license of a downtown San Jose nightclub for multiple violations, including the hiring of an unlicensed bouncer who punched and killed a patron three years ago.
The Myth Taverna & Lounge was given a 40-day license suspension that will extend indefinitely if the business does not bring itself into compliance with state regulations, according to the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control. The prohibition against selling and serving alcohol went into effect Thursday.
A news release from the state agency contends the business was not operating as a restaurant, as dictated by the type of license operators obtained, and for noise violations. The lounge, primarily known as a nightclub in the city, did not immediately respond to requests for comment." (
