This wooden cannon is located inside the Canadian War Museum. It was not used in battle but others like this were. Ce canon en bois est situé à l'intérieur du Musée canadien de la guerre. Celui-ci n'a pas été utilisé mais d'autres le furent.

Desperately short of artillery, the Patriots resorted to improvised weapons, like this wooden cannon. One of six made at St-Timothee (Quebec) from hollowed out logs, reinforced with iron bands, it was never fired.

Disposant d’une artillerie insuffisante, les Patriotes eurent recours à des armes improvisées, tel ce canon de bois. C’est l’un des six fabriqués à Saint-Timothée à partir de bûches creuses renforcées de bande de fer; il ne sera jamais utilisé.
Canon de bois à âme lisse, à chargement par la bouche.
