On the platform of a captured German mortar from WW1 is a Community Commemorative plaque for those who served in World War Two.

The commemorative plaque is on the western side of the sandstone rectangular plinth that supports the 25 cm Minenwerfer Mortar, captured by the 17th Battalion in August 1918 and reads:

	    [Australia Remembers
		 1945-1995]
		In Honour of
	 the Men & Women who served
	Australia in Time of Conflict
	     During World War II
		LEST WE FORGET
