Calera, OK - City and Town Halls on Waymarking.com

This area was first settled in 1872 and became known as Cale Switch. A post office was established in 1889. The town later became known as Sterrett, but controversy continued over that name until 1910, when the town was officially called Calera.

Calera is governed by a Mayor, Vice Mayor and Town Council. The town hall is located in a concrete block building, which has a brick veneer at the front. This building also houses the Calera Police Department and the Emergency Management office, and the Municipal Court. A message board is attached to the front of the building to announce various activities in the community. The town offices are open Mon-Fri from 8:00-4:00.
