MK&T sold the line that ran from Dublin to Gorman in 1967. In 1973 Birdsong Peanuts bought the line and began making runs from Dublin through DeLeon and into Gorman where locally-grown peanuts were loaded into boxcars and transported back to Dublin for connection with Santa Fe Railroad.

In 2017, Birdsong ceased these peanut runs and donated the depot to Eastland County for use as a museum.
