The Laclede Community Church wooden cross is located in the front lawn area near the parking lot at the corner of E. Hwy. 2 and Riley Creek Road.

This country church is white with a blue corrugated roof and is well maintained. Simple in design it features a bell tower and churchyard wooden cross. The bell tower seems to be from the original church.
The churchyard cross stands about 7 feet and is made of wood and is kept rustic. "Jesus" is inscribed on the horizontal cross member and is painted white.
Near the church are forested areas and farmlands, the saw mill and post office are across the road. Laclede had a slight decrease in population since our visit in 2014. Its current population is 177 residents a decrease from 235.
