The great main organ of the Basilica of Saint-Sernin is located on the west gallery.
A first organ, whose housing still contains the main organ, was built by Delaunayin the early 17th century. In 1845, the company Daublaine and Callinet completely rebuilt the organ with the participation of Charles Spackman Barker.
Aristide Cavaillé-Coll rebuild the organ in 1889, it has now 47 registers on three manuals and 3458 pipes.
Together with the Cavaillé-Coll instruments at Saint-Sulpice in Paris and the Church of St. Ouen, Rouen, it is considered to be one of the most important organs in France.
