This is the building for the local volunteer fire fighting unit of St Albans.

So long as the roads on either side of the Truss Bridge are open, then this Brigade building is conveniently located to respond to incidents to the north or south. It is a long red-brown brick building with a hip corrugated iron roof with flush gable ends. There are two roller doors on the western end, opposite the Playground; with concrete filled steel post bollards immediately either side. There is a 2 metre wide open verandah on the northern side of the building.

The extensions of this building were opened on 10th December, 2005 - as an embedded brass plaque beside the building states. The original section of the building was opened on 20th May 1995. There was tall, white-painted flag pole, flying the Australian flag, just to the north of the building
