This memorial is a large gray granite monument, with a large engraved eagle with spread wings. The seals of four branches of the military are engraved, and beneath that the names of 79 veterans.

At the base is the seal of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the words "In memory of those who gave their lives for our freedom." On the back of the monument, the V.F.W. Post thanks the Jerry Shelton family for making the monument possible, and shows the date of dedication: July 4, 1997.
