Veterans Park is an area on the south side of Waurika dedicated to those who gave their lives to keep us free. This bronze sculpture is about 40 inches high and stands on a concrete base. It was sculpted by Craig Campbell, who has done extensive work throughout the country. He created this sculpture, called "VALOR" in 2014. His website says: "He has created work for both commercial clients and fine art galleries, and his work has been commissioned by zoos and theming companies, toy companies, and the film industry, including work for The Hobbit, Elysium and Mad Max. He was a featured artist in the HISTORY channel’s “Monument Guys” TV series."

The work shows a soldier carrying his rifle in his left hand, while he grasps an injured comrade with his right, leading him away from danger. At their feet is the U.S. flag.
