Located on Highway 81, this memorial is located adjacent to the antique store. It is an open pavilion with an iron railing. It has numerous dedications and momentos, including enemy weaponry, and bomb shells. Under the pavilion are three displays with rifles and helmets for Korea, WWII and Vietnam.
Along the walkway leading to the pavilion are nine or ten plaques which highlight various battles, and items of interest from the wars. The photo gallery has close-up shots of each of these plaques. Two bronze Statues of Liberty are standing near the walkway. At her feet are helmets and weapons from the Japanese and German armies.
One plaque is a statement to the visitor from the antique store next door. It reads: "Addington Station Antiques wants to remind you what this memorial site is all about, and what it means personally to you. Thank a soldier, marine, sailor, or airman next chance you get for the good life you have in these United States of America."
As you enter the pavilion, the memorial dedication reads:
Les We Forget For all our unknown and known soldiers this dedicated plot of ground is to remind us of our brave soldiers who have served to protect these United States of America, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. Americans as we are: we must come together to bring back this great country that we all love and cherish. Our country was founded on the principle of the Almighty and His son. Freedom comes at a high price and that price has been paid in full.
