In this area of New York the Susquehanna River is the main river. The Susquehanna River starts in Cooperstown and flows through New York, Pennsylvania and Maryland into the Chesapeake Bay to the Atlantic Ocean. East of here the Delaware River flows into Delaware Bay to the Atlantic Ocean near Philadelphia and Wilmington. The Delaware River is the boundary between Pennsylvania and New Jersey in many areas.
