A mortar from the American civil war displayed in front of the Grand Army of the Republic building at 416 Hamilton, Peoria, IL. It was built by Cyrus Alger and Company of Boston, MA.
The lettering on the front of the cannon says:
No 7, C A & Co., Boston, 7665
T.J.R. 1862
Parking is on street in metered places. If one is lucky, one can park right in front of the cannon.
