The grave of is located in a family plot marked by a monument with the family name CLARK on the front and a bronze Medal of Honor plaque on the back. The front of the monument is inscribed:

Harrison Clark was serving with the 125th New York Infantry. For his valor on the second day of the Battle of Gettysburg, July 2, 1863, he given a field promotion to the rank of color sergeant. He was awarded the Medal of Honor on June 11, 1895. His citation reads:

Seized the colors and advanced with them after the color bearer had been shot.

Corporal Clark's regiment was attacked by Confederate forces under General James Longstreet on Emmitsburg Road and Cemetery Hill. The regiment's color bearer had been shot as soon as they entered the field. Corporal Clark then grabbed the flag and carried it as the regiment took heavy fire and crashed headlong into General William Barksdale's Mississippi brigade. The Confederate forces were halted and his unit then returned to its initial position near Cemetery Hill, having lost over 100 men. Harrison Clark was left with severe wounds.
