This Bench can be found in the Mooragh Park at the northern end of the Boating Lake. It is one of three benches set in an alcove of the brick wall, at this end of the lake (it is on the right-hand side of the benches when facing the benches with your back to the lake). It is the second dedicated bench, at the northern end of the lake to be encountered when approaching from the lakeside Centre.

This bench would appear to be the original bench dedicated to Elsie & Ray as there is a newer bench immediately alongside which has an identical dedication.

The wooden bench has a slatted seat and back rest featuring and two arm rests.

The rectangular plaque on the backrest of this bench is inscribed as follows:
‘THIS BENCH IS TO CELEBRATE THE 67 YEARS OF TOGETHERNESS
OF: ELSIE LLOYD (1919-2008) & RAY LLOYD (1919-2009)
WHO ENJOYED THESE PEACEFUL VIEWS
AND SURROUNDING HILLS’

The bench is positioned facing the Boating Lake in the Mooragh Park and is the ideal spot to rest and watch the various boats on the Lake and looking down the lake toward the town centre and the hill which surround the town.
Where is this bench located?: In the Mooragh Park at the northern end of the Boating Lake.
