Near the village of Lažany is a rock formation with a carved Gothic arch that is known as the Pekarova brána Gate according to Czech historian Josef Pekar.
The gate is located along the road from Libošovice to Vysker and was created when the road was built. When builders hit a rock that was referred to as the Monk by the locals while constructing the road, they decided to keep it and cut a broken arch into it. They also cut stairs to the top.

U obce Vysker se nachází skalní útvar s vytesaným obloukem v gotickém stylu a nesoucí jméno Pekarova brána. Brána nese jméno ceského historika PhDr. Josefa Pekare.
Brána se nachází na silnici, která vede z Libošovic na Vysker a vznikla práve pri stavbe již zmínené silnice. Když stavitelé narazili na skálu, kterou místní obyvatelé nazvali Mnich, rozhodli se o její zachování a vytesali do ní lomený oblouk. Tato nove vzniklá brána byla pojmenovaná po tehdejší turistické Pekarove stezce, která získala jméno po historikovi PhDr. Josefovi Pekarovi. Tato stezka vedla z Valdštejna na Kost a její soucástí byla silnice vedoucí pod touto bránou. Dnes je stezka mezi temito dvema hrady vedena údolím Certoryje. Do skály byly také vytesány schody vedoucí na její vrchol.
