On the left-hand brown brick pillar at the concrete footpath entrance from the intersection of The Avenue and Forest Road, is a brushed stainless steel plaque. It is facing the intersection, beneath a vintage style lamp, that is elevated on a tripod of steel rods. The plaque reads:

Church of England
A wooden Church was built in 1856. The first
Church of England in St. George. It was used as
the Lord's Forest Church of England School until
1876 when the Public School was opened. A brick
Church was built in 1889, The churchyard was the
only cemetery in the Hurstville Municipality and
was closed in 1905.
