"Helsinki City Bikes (Finnish: Kaupunkipyörät or Alepa-fillarit, Swedish: Stadscyklar) is a public bicycle system covering southern parts of Helsinki and Espoo and integrating with the rest of the public transport in Helsinki since May 2016. It is operated as a public-private partnership between Helsinki Regional Transport Authority (HSL), Helsinki City Transport (HKL), Espoo Technical and Environment Services, Moventia and Smoove."

"Helsingin kaupunkipyöräjärjestelmä on Helsingissä ja Espoossa toimiva kaupunkipyöräjärjestelmä. Järjestelmä avattiin vuoden 2016 toukokuussa 500 kaupunkipyörällä ja 50 kaupunkipyöräasemalla, jotka sijaitsivat Helsingin kantakaupungissa.

Helsingissä oli käytössä vuosina 2000–2010 kolikkopantteihin perustuva kaupunkipyöräjärjestelmä, mutta pyöriä vandalisoitiin eikä panttijärjestelmä toiminut hyvin, joten pyörät poistettiin käytöstä."

"You can register as a city bike user at hsl.fi/en/citybikes or using the HSL app. There are also payment terminals at five city bike stations, which allow you to buy a day or week pass.

You can use city bikes continuously for 30 minutes. After that, €1 will be charged for each concurrent 30 minutes. The maximum allowed time for a single bike trip is five hours. If you exceed five hours, you’ll be charged a hefty delay fee."
