Built by Wilbur United Grain Growers in 1950 or before, the elevator originally consisted of the section of smaller tanks on the east end. In 1951 the west section - the one with the larger tanks and the slightly larger headhouse - was added. By 2008 the elevator was owned by Central Washington Grain Growers.
In July of 2013, Highline Grain was formed, consisting of the former Central Washington Grain Growers, Inc., AgVentures LLC, Davenport Union Warehouse Co., & Almira Farmers Warehouse Co. Ltd., meaning that the elevator is now operated by HighLine Grain Growers, Inc. I won't even attempt to estimate the number of bushels the elevator will hold - it's probably in the range of a few hundred thousand.
