Just over 4 miles northeast of Amira, the disk is very close to an old power pole which has been cut off at about 4 feet and is accompanied by an orange witness post. While the original was stamped "GOVAN 1950", this disk is stamped "GOVAN 2 1990". There is no longer a "GOVAN 1950" to be found in the vicinity as GOVAN was destroyed when the highway was widened in 1990. Reference Mark No 2 was found about 15 feet southwest of GOVAN 2. In the stated location for Reference Mark No 1, there was no marker, only a badger hole. The Azimuth Disk was not searched for.
