In 1921, the town of Central High was originally named because it provided high school for surrounding towns, who only had the lower grades. Central High is located seven miles west of Marlow, off Highway 7. A new metal field house was constructed a few years ago, and in front of it, located on parking lot islands are two horse sculptures representing the team, the Bronchos.
This is a life-sized bronze sculpture of a rearing horse, standing on its back legs and pawing the air with his front. The sculpture is standing on a bronze base to simulate the ground and some small rocks. We could find no artist or date information on the sculpture.
