The mural is inspired by a vintage ad (see Web Site) which referenced her appearance in "I'll Be Seeing You", so Miss Temple would have been about sixteen at the time. The colors are life-like, but they have a pastel, postcard-like quality to them. Miss Temple is wearing a white blouse with a green ribbon on the collar, and there is a red ribbon in her trademark curls. She holds a green bottle of Royal Crown Cola in her left hand, its label is red with yellow letters, and "Cola" in orange. Complementing her is a quote, in yellow, indicating that Shirley Temple says "It does taste best!" with a red Royal Crown Cola sign -- "Best by Taste-Test," in beige -- below. The background is a medium blue, with a light green border, and "1928-2014" is in white letters in the upper left corner. There is no author signature or date, or even a suggestion as to what prompted this mural, although it is definitely an eye-catcher for those who are coming into town on US 82 from the west.
