Located South of the metropolitan area of the Quad Cities, (Davenport & Bettendorf in Iowa, Moline and Rock Island in Illinois), Niabi Zoo is a great place to spend the day with your children or grandchildren. Bring a picnic lunch with you. There’s picnic tables and play areas too.
Recently awarded AZA accreditation, it allows the zoo to become a breeding zoo along with other benefits. Construction is still being done, but soon you will be eye to eye with the Giraffes. In the Australian Walkabout area, you will be able the feed the colorful birds at Lorikeet Landing.
When you decide to take a break from the animals, and rest your feet, it will be the perfect time to take a ride on the miniature train. Then have that picnic lunch or visit the snack bar and souvenir shop.
