This Bench can be found in the Mooragh Park on the western side of the Boating Lake. It is close to the Lakeside Centre and faces the Basketball Court.
The wooden bench has a slatted seat and back rest featuring and two arm rests.
The rectangular plaque on the backrest of this bench is inscribed as follows:
‘IN EVER LOVING MEMORY OF DES (ROWLAND) FIELDHOUSE
WHO LOVED TO PLAY BASKETBALL HERE.
“HE WHOM WE LOVE AND LOSE IS NO LONGER WHERE HE
WAS BEFORE. HE IS NOW WHEREVER WE ARE”'
The bench is positioned close to the Lakeside Centre and faces the Basketball Court where ‘Rowland’ used to play.
