The plaque says, "Dedicated on February 16, 2009 to our true heroes.
Just as this wood has endured the passage of time, so do the veterans of the state of Arizona and throughout this great land, they symbolize the foundation of the freedoms we enjoy each and every da. Without our veterans, our freedom would not endure the passage of time. As a sign of our gratitude, we dedicate this memorial in the honor and memory of all veterans, past, present, and future. May god bless each and every veteran, and my God bless America."
